Another demonstration of how women and men can play together for the good of the game.
We have seen it in club official presentation pictures, new signings, pre-season tours and in national team promotional activities.
Now, the scenery was the presentation of the elite football leagues in New Zealand, the women’s competition National Women’s League and the ISPS Handa Premiership. For the first time in New Zealand, their top football leagues were presented in a joint launch, in Auckland.
More media impact, more social media following and, especially, mind-changing message for the society. The effort is nothing in comparison to the huge benefit it provides to both sides.
This new season, New Zealand women’s football will become more competitive as two full rounds of home-and-away matches will be played for the first time.
“It starts to feel like a proper season, it will push the talent and the game throughout the year.” Sarah Gregorius, Capital Football.
